Yang Hyun Suk offers 3 year contracts for 'Mix Nine' debut to the dismay of agencies

Article: [Exclusive] Yang Hyun Suk offers '3 year contract' for Mix Nine's debut team... some agencies in 'opposition'

1. [+249, -12] He's probably offering terms that he knows they're not going to want so he can just be like "leave if you don't want to take it~~~~~" and then finally get rid of the team altogether when no one agrees

2. [+164, -11] That's pretty bad. It's not like he set these terms at the start of 'Mix Nine'... it's unfair to pick all the members and then suddenly be like "oh yeah, it's going to be 3 years"... no one wants to work like that

3. [+94, -3] With how poorly the show did, it's clear that they're not looking to invest much in the idols. YG knows they're not going to get much out of the group in just 1-2 years so they need at least 3 years but why would their agencies agree to that? In 3 years, all their fame will be used up and people won't care anymore.

4. [+13, -3] Isn't 3 years okay? It's not like these kids have anywhere else to go. Their agencies aren't taking care of them... at least 3 years in YG will get them enough money for an apartment of their own once they're done.

5. [+12, -2] It's obvious YG's just trying to throw them out at this point with how poorly the show did ㅋㅋ

6. [+9, -1] 3 years? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Is he nuts? Does he not plan to debut his own groups in that time?

7. [+9, -0] It was easy for 'Produce 101' to debut because they already had fandoms... but 'Mix Nine' suffered abysmal viewer ratings and has no fandoms as a result of that. If they debut this group, they're going to fail miserably.

8. [+8, -1] Is he crazy? He's basically telling the other agencies that he's taking their trainees. Promoting for 3 years will mean they would've built up a fandom of their own by then... what does he expect their own agencies to do with that?

1. [+104, -26] Not sure why some comments are defending him unless you work for YG; The original promise was that the debut team would promote for 7 months. It's unfair for YG to change his mind and turn it into a 3 year contract. YG's just doing this because he wants the group to disband due to conflicting opinions. There's no way their agencies would agree to a 3 year contract unless they were insane. YG's totally playing the thug here... These members all joined the show under the original promise of a short promo period.

2. [+88, -17] Can he just admit that he doesn't want to debut them ㅋㅋ it's unfair that he's changing his mind. He knows that he's going to suffer a loss on them and doesn't want to invest anything so he's just media playing to distract the hate on him.

3. [+69, -10] ㅋㅋㅋ He's basically beating around the bush saying he doesn't want to debut them

4. [+69, -12] I expect an article soon saying the debut has been canceled. Yang Hyun Suk will say something like "we tried our best but negotiations couldn't reach a compromise"... The fact that he's offering a 3 year contract at all means he wants this to fail

5. [+58, -10] He's just being sly to lessen the hate against him. What agency would want their artist tied to another agency for 3 years? It's not like YG's super quick with their p[lans either ㅋㅋㅋ Just stick with the original 7 months

6. [+40, -6] Yup, we'll hear in a few months that all of the agencies rejected his offer so he can't debut the group... I feel bad for the kids who had to suffer through months of difficult missions...

7. [+42, -9] 3 years??? Is he insane? As if he's going to support kids from another agency properly for 3 whole years... He barely keeps comeback dates for his own kids... ridiculous
