Max Times Entertainment, "Korean stars get popular fast but lose it just as quickly. They have had the image of just coming for the purpose of making money and leaving. When there's a good event/charity, Chinese actors will either attend free of charge or pay to attend but Korean actors don't attend if they're not being paid for it. Chinese people believe that if you make money in China, you should give back, but there is rarely news about Korean actors doing the same. There's the idea that they'll get popular off of one work and leave after they've made their money."

1. [+1,042, -81] I agree with him. I don't know if being paid $500,000 is anything to brag about but I don't think I'd like it if another foreign star made so much money in our country like that.

2. [+634, -34] Didn't think they thought that. But then why do they pay so much for Korean actors still?

3. [+485, -30] It's true that Korean celebrities don't have that great of an image with tax evasion and military scandals, among other things.

4. [+143, -14] I don't agree with him. When a Korean celebrity gets popular, they're the ones paying so much for them and begging them to come over... and now they're blaming them for it? And why should Korean actors have to attend events for free when it's not even their country?

5. [+135, -11] Isn't it the same for other foreign celebrities too?

6. [+133, -11] Korean actors and singers make most of their money off of CFs and concerts since music and videos are pirated for free... a bit much to call Hallyu stars greedy for money.

7. [+132, -12] China's the one that makes the popularity of Hallyu stars. They're the ones paying so much to come over... why blame Korean stars? They're paying a lot of money to get that much in return off of the name value of the star. They can create good content with Chinese stars and advance into the Korean market then.

8. [+117, -13] China's not considering the amount of money they're making in exchange for the high prices of Korean stars... And Kim Soo Hyun donated recently as well.
