"Lately, I've been feeling that Korean music is becoming confined to one genre. I personally tried to produce music with less of what the public wanted in mind. Instead of Korean music, which has a fast turnover rate, I tend to listen to songs distinctive to different genres over a long period of time. I hope that we go back to the times where music was produced for the intention of creating memories. In America, it takes sometimes a month up to six months for there to be any type of response after an album's initial release."

1. [+509, -39] No matter how trashy a song is, it can sweep the charts and win #1 on music programs through the power of their stupid fans. That is the reality of the Korean music market ㅋㅋ

2. [+457, -21] In the past, year-end ceremonies would give out awards based on how well they excelled in their genre so rock groups and hip hop groups could come away with something as long as they had quality content. These days, the year-end ceremonies are just full of groups singing songs in nonsense English and dancing around for a Daesang. The music market was destroyed by the idols.

3. [+384, -61] G-Dragon's right... I remember there was a foreign group called Train and their song 'Hey, Soul Sister' received love for about a year before finally ranking on the Billboard a year later. I hope that our music market can change like this as well.. ㅎㅎ

4. [+76, -11] I have to agree with him... As the music market currently stands, it's either idol music or sad ballads. The top 3 companies really need to start ignoring what the public wants and advance/improve the music market. The public alone isn't ready to take on such a huge change without their help.
